Dear Friends from the Gotthard
An extreme year is now behind us and for all of us 2021 with many questions lies ahead.
After the unexpected lockdown in March, we were able to start a wonderful summer season at the beginning of July. With beautiful weather and many outdoor activities, we were also able to welcome many winter guests to the Gotthard in addition to our regular summer guests, who were thrilled by the Lech mountain summer and still summon up strength from it.
By the end of September the hotels were closed again and we are now waiting for a re-opening date, which will hopefully be in January 2021.
Unfortunately, we will not be celebrating Christmas with our guests this year. No mulled wine on the terrace, no curling rink in the garden and no Christmas menu from the Lecherstube.
We will miss the Christmas idyll of our mountain village Lech, the skiing, the winter walks and all the ambience of Lech that we have come to love over the years.
God willing, we look forward to see each other next year, and celebrate Christmas and New Year's Eve together again and look back on this experience with gratitude.
Nicole has made countless phone calls to many of you and has at least been able to keep in touch with our regular guests and maintain personal contact.
We would like to thank you for this and wish you a healthy and happy merry Christmas with your family!
