Explore the river Lech
The Lechtal valley
The nature park region Lechtal stretches from the feet of the Lechtal and Allgäu Alps to the borders of Vorarlberg. It's characterised by the unique appearance of the last wild river in Europe. The idyllic nature scenery offers dreamlike moments to actively relax outdoor. The famous hiking trail 'Lechweg', which starts at the spring of the river Lech at the lake Formarinsee and goes to Füssen in the Allgäu to the waterfall 'Lechfall', is a great nature experience.
An excursion to the Lechtal valley is definitely worth a visit!

The Geierwally open-air stage
Every year numeorus visitors come to the Bernhardstal canyon in Elbigenalp to watch the spectacular atmosphere of the Geierwally open-air stage. The stage, which was named after the eponymic play, was built directly into the distinctive rock of the Bernhardstal caynon and represents the cultural highlight of the region. Various different cultural events have been taking place at this wild and romantic open-air stage since 1993. If it's raining, the plays can still take place as there's a flexible roofing.
